Generations Booster Pack guide
What's inside the Generations Booster Pack
One sealed Generations Booster Pack contains 10 cards, with at least one rare, all from Generations.
Generations is a special set, so its packs were mostly sold inside Elite Trainer Boxes, bundles and collections rather than from a booster box, and loose packs are usually taken from those.
About Generations
The 20th anniversary set, with a Radiant Collection subset. It had no booster box and was sold only in Elite Trainer Boxes and collections. Released on 22 February 2016, it belongs to the Black & White and XY era. It came out 10 years ago, so most sealed stock has been opened and what is left sits with collectors.
Generations has 83 cards in its main numbering, plus 34 secret rares numbered beyond it.
The cards a Generations Booster Pack can hold
The Generations cards collectors most want to pull are Charizard-EX and M Charizard-EX. Any one pack can hold them, but most packs will not: buying the single card is usually cheaper than opening for it.
Our catalogue lists the set's rarest tiers as 21 Ultra Rares and 17 Rares. Prices for every card are on the Generations set page.

Asking prices are what sellers hope to get, not what booster packs actually sell for, so treat the cheapest listing as the benchmark for a fair deal.
Price per pack
At the typical price, a Generations Booster Pack costs €431.01, compared with €522.97 in a Generations Elite Trainer Box. That makes it the cheapest way to buy Generations packs sealed right now.
Is the Generations Booster Pack a good investment?
After 10 years, sealed Generations booster packs rarely come up, and prices tend to rise as boxes are opened and supply shrinks. Single packs are the easiest to resell but also the most likely to have been searched or weighed. Watch the price of Charizard-EX, the set's headline card, since sealed Generations tends to move with it.
Past prices do not guarantee future ones, and this is not financial advice. Read should you buy sealed Pokémon products? for the pros and cons.
Before you buy
Look closely at the wrapping in the photos. Factory wrap on packs is tight and crimped evenly at both ends; baggy, shiny or uneven wrap is a common sign of a reseal. For a Generations Booster Pack at around €431.01, ask the seller for photos of all sides and stick to accounts with plenty of positive feedback. Avoid "weighed" or searched packs from bulk sellers: some sellers weigh packs to pull the holos out first. Check whether delivery from ebay.de adds import fees, and store sealed product flat, out of sunlight and away from damp.
