Delta Species Booster Pack guide

What's inside the Delta Species Booster Pack

One sealed Delta Species Booster Pack contains a random selection of 9 to 11 cards, with at least one rare, all from Delta Species.

About Delta Species

Introduced δ Delta Species, Pokémon with types they normally don't have. Released on 31 October 2005, it belongs to the EX, Diamond & Pearl and HeartGold SoulSilver years, whose sealed product is now scarce. It came out 21 years ago, so most sealed stock has been opened and what is left sits with collectors.

Delta Species has 113 cards in its main numbering, plus 1 secret rare numbered beyond it.

Asking prices are what sellers hope to get, not what booster packs actually sell for, so treat the cheapest listing as the benchmark for a fair deal.

Is the Delta Species Booster Pack a good investment?

After 21 years, sealed Delta Species booster packs rarely come up, and prices tend to rise as boxes are opened and supply shrinks. Single packs are the easiest to resell but also the most likely to have been searched or weighed.

Past prices do not guarantee future ones, and this is not financial advice. Read should you buy sealed Pokémon products? for the pros and cons.

Before you buy

Look closely at the wrapping in the photos. Factory wrap on packs is tight and crimped evenly at both ends; baggy, shiny or uneven wrap is a common sign of a reseal. For a Delta Species Booster Pack at around €12,598, ask the seller for photos of all sides and stick to accounts with plenty of positive feedback. Avoid "weighed" or searched packs from bulk sellers: some sellers weigh packs to pull the holos out first. For product this old, ask whether it has been checked by an authenticator: fakes and resealed vintage boxes are made to fool buyers. Check whether delivery from ebay.co.uk adds import fees, and store sealed product flat, out of sunlight and away from damp.
