Champion's Path Booster Bundle

Champion's Path Booster Bundle guide

What's inside the Champion's Path Booster Bundle

The Champion's Path Booster Bundle bundles 6 booster packs of Champion's Path together, without the extras of an Elite Trainer Box.

Champion's Path is a special set with no regular booster box, so booster bundles are one of the main ways to buy it sealed.

About Champion's Path

A special set with no booster box. Its rainbow Charizard VMAX made it one of the most sought-after products of 2020. Released on 25 September 2020, it belongs to the Sword & Shield era, when the collecting boom pushed print runs to record levels. 6 years on, most of its sealed stock has long been opened, and unopened product mostly changes hands between collectors.

Champion's Path has 73 cards in its main numbering, plus 7 secret rares numbered beyond it.

Chase cards to look for

The Champion's Path cards collectors most want to pull are Charizard VMAX and Charizard V. 6 packs gives a few chances at them for less than a larger box.

Our catalogue lists the set's rarest tiers as 7 Secret Rares, 5 Ultra Rares and 3 VMAX. See every Champion's Path card price for what each is worth.

Champion's Path Booster Bundle as an investment

Older sealed product tends to rise as boxes are opened and supply shrinks, and Champion's Path is now 6 years past release. Its price still depends on demand for its chase cards and on any reprints. Bundles are newer and less collected than boxes or ETBs, so they are mostly bought to open. Much of its sealed value rests on demand for Charizard VMAX and Charizard V: if those cards rise, unopened product usually follows.

None of this is financial advice: sealed prices can fall as well as rise. Our guide should you buy sealed Pokémon products? weighs up both sides.

Before you buy

Check the shrink wrap: factory wrap on booster bundles has neat seams, often with Pokémon logos printed on it, and loose or glossy wrap can mean a resealed product. Some bundles are sold as loose packs in a bag, so check the photos show the factory-wrapped bundle. Compare the total with delivery, not just the price, and store sealed product flat, out of sunlight and away from damp.
