What's inside the Aquapolis Booster Box
A sealed Aquapolis Booster Box holds 36 sealed booster packs from Aquapolis, the full display a shop would open to sell packs one by one.
1st Edition and Unlimited booster boxes are both listed here, and 1st Edition sells for far more, so check the listing title before comparing prices.
About Aquapolis
The second e-Card set, introducing Crystal Pokémon, rare cards that could be any energy type. Released on 15 January 2003, it belongs to the Wizards of the Coast era, when Pokémon cards first took off and print runs were far smaller than today. It came out 23 years ago, so most sealed stock has been opened and what is left sits with collectors.
Aquapolis has 147 cards in its main numbering, plus 39 secret rares numbered beyond it.
Chase cards to look for
The Aquapolis cards collectors most want to pull are Lugia, Kingdra and Ampharos. With 36 packs, a box gives you the most chances at them of any sealed product, though no box is guaranteed to hold any one card.
Our catalogue lists the set's rarest tiers as 32 Holo Rares and 51 Rares. Prices for every card are on the Aquapolis set page.

Is the Aquapolis Booster Box a good investment?
Sealed Aquapolis is now a collector's item: very few unopened booster boxes survive, and each one opened makes the rest rarer. Condition and authenticity matter more than anything else at this age. Booster boxes are the sealed product most collectors hold long term, as they are easy to store and to value. Watch the price of Lugia, the set's headline card, since sealed Aquapolis tends to move with it.
None of this is financial advice: sealed prices can fall as well as rise. Our guide should you buy sealed Pokémon products? weighs up both sides.
Before you buy
Look closely at the wrapping in the photos. Factory wrap on booster boxes has neat seams, often with Pokémon logos printed on it; baggy, shiny or uneven wrap is a common sign of a reseal. For an Aquapolis Booster Box at around €271,497, ask the seller for photos of all sides and stick to accounts with plenty of positive feedback. A full box gives better odds than loose packs, and its value as a sealed item is easier to judge (how to value a sealed booster box). For product this old, ask whether it has been checked by an authenticator: fakes and resealed vintage boxes are made to fool buyers. Compare the total with delivery, not just the price, and store sealed product flat, out of sunlight and away from damp.
