Version and identification

Look for the printed number #322 and the Japanese Shiny Star V set symbol to confirm you have this exact card, and check the text is Japanese.

Price history

Today an ungraded Grimmsnarl VMAX #322 sells for about €6.01, a PSA 9 for €9.35 and a PSA 10 for €22.56. We have monthly prices for this card going back to May 2022. Over the last 12 months ungraded copies are up 123%, and down 2% in the last month. Its highest monthly ungraded value was €14.57 in May 2022, so it is 59% below that peak. PSA 10 copies have moved down 3% over the same 12 months.

Grading and population

PSA has graded 441 copies. 416 received a PSA 10 and 22 a PSA 9, a gem rate of 94.3%, which makes it one of the easier cards to grade a 10. A PSA 10 sells for 3.8× the ungraded price and 2.4× a PSA 9. That gap is small, so grading fees may outweigh the gain unless the card is for your own collection.

Investment potential

In its favour: steady demand, with ungraded prices up 123% in a year; a price well below its May 2022 peak, which some collectors see as room to recover; an active market (66 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: a plentiful top grade, with 94.3% of graded copies already PSA 10; large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Card prices can fall as well as rise, so this is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €6.01 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €9.35. Modern cards often leave the pack with print lines or surface scratches, so check the surface under a light (spotting surface scratches). Ask for clear photographs of both sides, verify the exact release and variant, and check for damage that may not appear in the listing title.
